Personal Project

Maazmeca Reborn is a 2-4 players strategy board game. In this game, 4 Pre-Columbian civilizations fight to be the ones to fulfil an ancient prophecy that will destroy the world.

This game is another version of the school project Maazmeca. It uses the same main elements and core gameplay.

This time, however, the board is divided into wheels that players can move to gain advantage over their opponents, making each game unique. Wheels can be moved when performing rituals and represent time, like the Seasons did in the first version of the game. We also made the game simpler to improve its accessibility.

Main tasks:

  • Design of the game’s rules
  • Organizing playtests
